Born in California, Yousuke spent most of his childhood in the US.

After attending junior high in Japan, he relocates again to the states and studied film-making at New York University graduating in 2010. ​

After graduation, he started his career in the industry as a camera assistant, mainly on independent feature films.

As years past, he transitions to shooting, utilizing his bilingual capabilities, he has worked with both Japanese and US productions as a cinematographer working on a wide variety of genres such as commercials, documentaries and narrative films. ​

In 2021, he moved his base from New York to Japan.

アメリカ・カリフォルニア州生まれ、幼少期の多くをアメリカで過ごす。

日本での学生時代を経て１６歳で再び渡米し、２０１０年にニューヨーク大学映像学部を卒業。

​ 卒業後はニューヨークで撮影助手として映画などに携わりキャリアをスタートさせた。

その後バイリンガルを活かし、シネマトグラファーとして現地や日本のプロダクションとアメリカ国内を中心にCM・ドキュメンタリー・映画と多岐に渡って活動している。 ​

２０２１年に１０年以上活動していたニューヨークから日本に拠点を移す。
